About

In 2014 a walk was held in Moruya to highlight climate change. A small group of interested local community members who attended this walk, then formed a group to undertake projects to help achieve a zero carbon Eurobodalla. This group was named Southcoast Health and Sustainability Alliance (SHASA) and was incorporated on the 29th February 2016. SHASA currently has an Executive of 8 members. Other community members attend the meetings to participate in projects across the Eurobodalla. All community members are welcomed resulting in a busy group of people attending monthly meetings (held via Zoom) and implementing practical solutions to build community leadership, resilience, and capability to deal with our climate chaos and it’s many impacts including drought, flood, and bushfire.

SHASA have recently updated our strategic plan to 2030. It outlines our key areas of focus for the next decade and will be regularly reviewed. All feedback welcomed via our contact page.
